Web Design Brief
We need a UI design for a touch screen device to be used by costumers in a store and show information about specific products. We're looking for a general concept to serve as a starting point and we're not expecting a fully coded design.
We envision a UI where it first shows a range of products; once touched, it should show information about the product which includes text, touchable photos, videos and document files. We're interested in the starting page and the product details page.
We are the suppliers of the device and not the owners of stores that will use them. The purpose of this design is for in-person demonstrations to potential clients or in ads so the design should be agnostic about the end product(s). You may freely pick random placeholder or fictional products and assets to showcase the design concept as long as they can be changed without compromising the design. You can use our logo (annexed) in the design as a placeholder but it's not necessary.
We're using web technologies to develop the UI so the same principles should apply, except some exceptions below:
- There's no need for a responsive design since the resolution is set at 1920x1080 on a 22'' monitor in landscape orientation.
- All interactions will be done using the touchscreen, so any interactive component needs to be large enough for navigation to be comfortable.
- The design should be visually engaging and eye-catching, more so than a regular website.
