Packaging Design Brief

Cascade Wild makes an ultralight folding table for outdoor recreation (primarily backpacking, but other uses such as picknicking, camping by motorcycle, bicycle, hammock, canoeing, etc.) The table can be seen at www.cascadewild.com. Currently we ship it unpackaged but want to package it in a clear 5 x 14 poly envelope, with a stapled-on bag topper that will be 5 x 5 in unfolded, 5 x 2.5 when folded over. So there will be two design sides to the packaging, front and back, 5 x 2.5 each side.

The bag topper can be seen at https://www.uprinting.com/bag-toppers-header-cards.html. I'm including the bag topper template in pdf format but is available in other formats at the bottom of the uprinting page. IMPORTANT NOTE, the template includes a punched-out hole where the bag topper has to be blank or at most, a single color background.

Summary of files attached:
-Picture: CW table set up (for use on front of packaging IF only a picture of the table will be shown)

Requirements

Must have

• On the front of the packaging, at least:
• - the Cascade Wild logo (included with this submission in a .png file)
• - the product name (Ultralight Folding Table)
• - a tag line (not sure if should be capitalized): "get your gear up out of the dirt and mud"
• - A picture of the product, set up for use. See attached files for possible uses. NOTE: for reference I'm also including a picture "CW table to be packaged" so you can see what it will look like when ready to be stuffed in the packaging. But this picture would NOT be used on the packaging.
• On the back of the packaging there needs to be:
• - room for a future UPC bar code.
• - a statement such as "Find out more at cascadewild.com" or, at least the website address
• - Weight (2.2 oz or 60 g) (this might also go on the first page)
• There is a special product feature that needs to be communicated prominently, possibly also including a small picture, open to whether on the front or back: "Tables snap together to form a larger surface". I am attaching a picture DSCN0769.jpg that could be used if there is room, and the picture could also be cropped.
• At the bottom of both the back, there should be the wording "See instructions on back side". We are going to put the instructions on the back side of the bag hanger, but nothing fancy will be needed there.

Nice to have

• Other possible inclusions:
• - QR code on the back? (attached in .jpeg format, also available in eps, svg, or png format)
• - Unfolds to 8" x 12" tabletop (this might also go on the front)
• - Durable, heat-resistant waterproof plastic (this would be the first item to discard if things were getting cluttered)
