Logo Design Brief

We are an asset management (financial services) firm and are spinning out from our old company. Our clients are ultra-high net worth individuals and large international institutions and we invest money on their behalf and hopefully make a good return for them. We need a new logo that conveys our trustworthiness, sophistication, expertise, intelligence, dedication to our clients, and long-term viability and stability. As a logo theme we really like the single white star against the dark blue background in the attached file and would like it used/incorporated. We are based in Dallas, Texas and the original idea of the attached was inspired by the first Texas flag once the state gained independence. The current Texas state flag also has one single white star incorporated as well.
