Logo Design Brief

I am rebranding my legal practice as "IT Legal". My practice is in e-discovery and document review which is a very technology-driven legal area involving the review of large databases for evidence relevant to litigation. The IT is actually the initials of my name but is a good play on words since it could also stand for information technology.

I need a logo that will work well with my website www.itlegal.ca as well as something that I could use on business cards, letterhead, stationary, etc..

I like logos that are clean and minimal but relate to my business in an eye-catching way. One of my ideas would be to use a simple image of the scales of justice on a laptop screen but I am not a designer so I would like to get some professional suggestions.
