If you still like the celtic ring idea, i may have a really simple fresh solution.

I have submitted an idea that works quite well, keeping the polished look of the 3 chome rings. I have silver green and blue, silver to convey strength and reliability, green is a sense of a fresh start and renewal, light blue for a trustworthy company and a nice fresh corporate look.
A simple vector image doesn''t have the punch that the chrome rings do, and it would just be 3 half round swooshes seen EVERYWHERE for all types of logos, really boring, I think the rings hold a way more polished appearance and are rendered minimally, so when printed at small sizes they still look like rings.
The type is simple and easily readable.
