Logo Design Brief

I need a brand logo for my new business, called CJR Student Athletics, which is going to offer sports coaching to students. I already have a draft logo idea, which is attached to this design brief. The logo I have very crudely put together is a muscular figure holding its arms up to a book (hence, students).
I am not married to this design but I think it would look fantastic if it was polished up to a professional standard, however if you think you have a better idea then I will, of course, consider it.

This logo will be going on my website, social media pages, YouTube videos and clothing items, so it needs to be simple but recognisable.

With regards to clothing I will want the main "basic" logo to go in the top corner of clothing, but also a larger logo to go in the centre of hoodies and t's, such as the original logo with the name of the company added alongside it, so it appears to be a rectangular shape.

There are two gym-related clothing companies who's logo style I would like mine to somehow emulate, which are called "Gymshark" and "Alphalete Athletics". Both companies have simple, yet recognisable logos that appear to have been drawn, which is a style I am very fond of. I have attatched a copy of these companies logo's as well. (The Gymshark logo is the blue one.)

Must have

• Some reminder that this is a student run, owned and aimed company, such as an open book as per the design brief. Also must convey a muscular figure, but not freakishly huge. The 1980s bodybuilder Frank Zane is the ideal type of figure I would like, but it can't be a replica of a photo taken from the internet, as many people would notice, so please emulate the shape if possible.

Should not have

• This logo must be simple, easy to identify and to print on clothing. As a very unprofessional marker for the logo's simplicity, I (not in any way an artist), should be able to draw the logo with relative ease on paper. There should not be lots of unnecessary lines, dots or shapes. See "Gymshark" and "Alphalete" logos for reference. Also please leave out any text for your submission.
