Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a logo that incorporates text with our name as well as an icon. Our current logo is attached. It can be a remake of that logo or something brand new from scratch. We are a ministry at our church, First Baptist Church Mustang, that works with 6-12 grade students. We want to keep in mind who we are trying to reach with the design. The current logo uses 1M, stacked, as an icon. A new design can continue to use 1M, or possibly FM, which stands for first mustang. I am open to other new ideas as well. We are ready for something new and fresh. I prefer to be able to use the icon alone or the icon and text together. looking for a design that can be both horizontal and stacked.
