Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new publishing company called "Liberotas Press". We publish books written by independent authors across a number of genres. The design should reflect a symbol/graphic that portrays our mission: to publish works that celebrate freedom, independence, and liberty. Design should be simple, clear, no more than two colors, and must also look good in black and white. The company name "Liberotas Press" can be part of the logo, but the graphic should stand on its own without the words, as well. (See examples of existing publishing company logos)

Requirements

Must have

• Must be clean, simple, and look good in black and white as well as color.

Nice to have

• Symbols/graphics will ideally convey the concepts of freedom, liberty, and independent thought.
• If the graphic can incorporate references to a book as well, that would be a plus.

Should not have

• Too many colors - ideally no more than two to keep it simple.
• Do NOT use the company initials (LP) - too simplistic. Looking for a symbol that conveys the main values of freedom/liberty/independence
