Illustration Design Brief

Overview:
Design an illustration for a 4-piece dinnerware set that includes a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and mug. The four illustrations will feature: 1) elk, 2) wild boar, 3) grizzly bear, 4) wild turkey

The theme of this design is autumn wild animals.

This dinnerware set is serious and detailed. It's for the outdoor enthusiast, the hunter, the person who has a cabin in the woods or would like a cabin in the woods. Someone who enjoys nature, animals, and being outside. This set can be used for everyday.

The design should be detailed, like illustrations in a biology article. Feature the animal on its own - ok to be on a small patch of grass, ground, dirt, etc, but no overly detailed background environment. Keep it simple. The illustration should appear finished and polished and NOT like a sketch.

The JPG of the lavender 4-piece set is uploaded to demonstrate the style of the ceramic dinnerware that the design will be printed on. Note that the print will be on the *inside* of the bowl, not on the outside rim. Also note that the plates do not have any indentation in the middle of them, but rather are flat and curl up slightly at the edges.

Style and color:
Style should lean towards detailed, serious. Color should be black with shades of gray and white if needed. No colors.

The canvas example uploaded is to help visualize the surface area for the dinnerware. The top rectangle will be for the mug, the two circles for the plates and the bottom rectangle can be ignored for this project. Present your work as 4 dinner plates and 1 mug. If your design is chosen then we can incorporate the other 3 designs to the mug format.
