Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for a website that enables people to upload and share information about their metaphorical "grandparents," the scholars, writers and activists who influenced their thinking and educational practice. The logo should communicate the sense of connectedness people feel across the generations as we realize how our teachers (and the people who wrote books that influenced us) helps people advance creative work in media literacy.
Media literacy has changed over the generations. It used to focus on TV, advertising and stereotypes in movies. Today, it focuses on social media, credibility, and fake news. But many of the important concepts of media literacy have a long history based on the work of scholars in philosophy, linguistics, cultural studies, and other fields.
