Logo Design Brief

UPDATE FROM JIM: THE "DG" PART OF OUR NAME IS IMPORTANT, SO THE ACCENT REALLY SHOULD BE ON DG. I'M NOT A DESIGNER BUT I SEE LOTS OF SUBMISSIONS IN HERE WHICH SEEM TO ACCENT THE "T" IN TDG. i REALLY WANT TO COMMUNICATE THE FOLLOWING

- OUR FOCUS IS "DG" (DANGEROUS GOODS TRANSPORT)
- OUR COMPANY ACRONYM IS "TDG"
- OUR COMPANY NAME IS TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT GROUP LLC

I am going to extend the bidding on this project a little bit more I want to get some new designers in here because I want people to read the rest of my brief while all the designs that I received playing on the letters TDG are nice and I like quite a few of them I still would like people to understand that I'm looking for concepts such as education Compliance simplicity and competence if I can get some designs that somehow would tie with that as well that would be great of course the designs that accent the letters DG in our company name or also what I'm looking for so I'm open to any ideas that I feel like out of the 147 designs that I have so far the vast majority he are not related to any concepts with just the letters in her name I do like a few of them but I'm going to extend this a bit longer thank you Jim Powell March 23, 2017

I need ideas for a logo that fits our company. It's our 25th anniversary and I want something that does a good job highlighting who we are and what we do. Our company is a training company involved in Dangerous Goods transport (hazardous materials).

Right now our logo (which I like but we don't use it much) is a marshalling man in aviation the person with the wands that guides an aircraft in and out of parking)... I like the idea that this connotes guidance, and ties in with transportation.

I either want a logo that ties in with our company name "TDG" with accent on the "DG" because we do "DG" training and our website is "dgtraining.com". I either want some play on that or something that ties in one or more of these elements:

Simplicity: we make DG simple for people
Training and Education: We teach people to ship DG properly
Consulting and Support: We guide people through a labrynth of regulations for shipping DG around the world
Competency: Our mission is to make your employees fully competent in shipping Dangerous Goods

We''ve been in business 25 years and have clients in just about every industry -- electronics, medical/healthcare, hi-tech, law enforcement, cosmetics, aviation, trucking, universities, we special also in shipping lithium batteries and I serve on a UN subcommittee (as an NGO) involved in global transport regulations.

Target Market(s)

Small medium and large corporatinos that distribute products worldwide that involved hazardous materials (Dangerous goods). So hi-tech, medical, research, cosmetics, electronics

Nice to have

• I really like the signal man we have but want brighter almost day-glow colors for the wands if we stick with that. But I'm not wedded to that design either. Something sharp and modern tieing in with the DG part of TDG (transportation development Group) is good. It's coincidental that the "DG" in the name "TDG" also means "Dangerous Goods" which is our line of work.

Should not have

• I've already looked at lots of boxes and globes (we're involved in shiping DG around the world).
• I really like "teal" as a color but am open.
