Logo Design Brief

This is a quick, initial version of a logo to be used in the development of the concept and organization. Ideally it will survive concept stage and reach consumers. The plan is to have the term coined and the logo used worldwide.

Design logo that stands up strong on its own, in color and also is a perfect recognizable symbol, when used next to meals on restaurant and food service menus. Provide a background color scheme for use on initial materials and at a social enterprise conference end of next week (10/17).

EcoPortion is a certification provided by a non-profit environmental organization, indicating that a standard meal portion has been modified to contain 50% less animal and dairy content and 50% more non-grain vegetables and fruits.

The impact is greater human and environmental health.

The reason, is that many of the most highly reputed establishments serve meals balanced heavily toward meat, fish and dairy content and while many consumers may enjoy the basic recipe, they prefer to opt for a more healthful and sustainable version, without asking for lots of customization and substitution.

Target Market(s)

This likely will start targeted at upper middle and upper scale restaurant patrons. From there it will expand over time toward very main stream

• Must be clearly recognizable, even in small scale next to entree on restaurant menu. Must have some visual relationship to the concept that transcends English and will work world wide.

Nice to have

• Small black or grey scale version for use on menus and consumer products AND more detailed color version for use on literature, web and marketing material.
