Graphic Design Brief

We need two logos and a brochure/banner design for an upcoming Annual Meeting.

The first logo should apply to the current Annual Meeting taking place this November. The meeting is taking place in San Antonio Texas and should reflect a desert, Texas, warm theme. The attached files are from this past year's annual meeting and the style should be similar, simple and clean, but effective. Artwork should include an EPS file for signage production at larger resolutions. For the brochure, I need a full design concept that can be used as a cover page to various 8.5" x 11" brochures. I also need the design formatted as an e-banner for our website and blast e-mail communications. The design will also be adapted for on-site signage throughout the convention center at the meeting. 2016 Annual Meeting final designs are included for reference.

Logo two should apply to next year's annual meeting occurring in Amelia Island, FL on 11/7/18-11/10/18. This logo does not need any brochures associated with it at this time. We simply need a logo to use on current meeting materials as a save the date marketing tool. The theme of this one should also be warm, but more of a tropical climate type color scheme and theme. Maybe something with a boardwalk and water, waves etc. Does not necessarily have to be a palm tree.

Designs should be simplistic, not more than three colors or two fonts. Please try to eliminate prominent drop shadows, and do not stroke outline text unless it looks clean and works with the design. We have used the shape of Texas and a cactus in recent years so we would like to avoid doing so again if possible. We are also trying to avoid having the logos look too "busy." Grunge fonts are not preferred unless they are used well and work with the design. Sans Serif is also preferred as it keeps the look modern, but we are open to your creativity!

Must have

• Simple, professional, appealing, branding that's able to be adapted to various formats. Incorporate existing STSA logo to brochure. Must include and highlight following copy:
• - Southern Thoracic Surgical Association 64th Annual Meeting
• - November 8-11, 2017
• - JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa
• - San Antonio, TX
• - I will need all final working artwork files including an EPS.
• Additional logo must include the following:
• STSA 65th Annual Meeting
• November 7-10, 2018
• Amelia Island, FL

Nice to have

• Inclusion of the STSA logo/seal on the brochure design. I have provided it in the files in both gold and black. Please only use of the provided logos based on which color you prefer with your design concept.

Should not have

• Too much focus on resort, no sporting activities.
• Should not use previous artwork but use as a reference when creating your concept.
