T-shirt Design Brief

We need a t-shirt design for our 50th anniversary "Operation Clean Stream" event. The event is a river cleanup, where citizens unite to keep our river clean pulling tires, trash, and other items from the Meramec River. We would like to see artwork that highlights it being the 50th anniversary and artwork that connects to nature. We want something that is complex, and not just a drawing of a canoe with the words "Operation Clean Stream".

A copy of the t-shirt that the image will be screen printed on is attached; the shirt will be dark heather blue, with teal lettering. These shirts will come pre-printed with the state of Missouri (as seen in the image) and the artwork can only be placed on the front of the shirt.

Please remember that we are located near St. Louis, Missouri, where the river is used for canoeing and kayaking and has Missouri-like trees. We don't have big mountains, waterfalls, the ocean, or alpine forest. We have oak trees, small streams and creeks, and non-motorized river recreation.

We would like the files to be editable in Adobe Creative Suite and want to have an .EPS file. We may pull parts of the logo out to use on our social media/website, so please be aware of that when creating.

Target Market(s)

Mostly middle age men who canoe, fish, hardworkers, nature lovers, etc.

Also some children, their mothers, girl/boy scouts who participate on foot in parklands that are next to the rivers.

Requirements

Must have

• - Must have the text "Operation Clean Stream: A Project of the Open Space Council"
• - Design must fit with the state of Missouri logo that is already printed in the top right hand corner of the shirts
• - Complex design, we don't want just 1 picture of a tree and a boat
• - Can be printed in 1 color
• - File friendly for Creative Suite; EPS also; desire to be able to break apart design to use components on social media

Nice to have

• - Inspired by nature (especially Missouri Nature/Meramec River)
• - Ode to it being the 50th anniversary
• - Use common fonts
• - Vintage or playful feel

Should not have

• - Wrap around design
• - No printing on back of shirt
