Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for the company. The company makes an online platform (www.recopat.com not available yet) which provides a simple interface for keeping track of technology developments and patents being filed by other companies. The current tools on the market are very complex and intimidating to non professional users. The platform will be simpler and more user friendly. Sort of an apple versus nokia concept. simple and user friendly without hundreds of complicated features.

Target Market(s)

Technology development companies, typically engineering companies. Could be in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical, medical devices, medicine, pharma, etc... Patent attorneys will also use the platform.

Requirements

Must have

• The logo should be acceptable in a rather conservative field of business, but should still be modern and dynamic. It is not necessary that the company name "Recopat" should be included in the design.

Nice to have

• The company name is based on "Re" "Co" and "Pat". The Re refers to the latin word "recenseo" which means to "review", the "Co" refers to the latin word consilium which means to plan. "Pat" refers to patent. The idea is to review patents to make a plan, so some form of reviewing and analyzing and planning a strategy is included in the name. However, this is most likely not so important for the logo. The colour is not so important.
