Logo Design Brief
Stop Tags is a secure graffiti management database delivered over the internet. Jobs are dispatched via iPhone to workers in the field who clean up the graffiti. Go here to read more about Stop Tags: http://www.smartrak.co.nz/info/stop-tags.aspx
We like clever, simple, clean, flat logos. We're after stylised or abstract logos and would prefer that over a clichéd graphic of a stop sign or something similar. I've listed some logo designs below that we like that could give you an idea of what we're after.
Incorporated within logo text:

http://logofaves.com/2009/04/pencil/
http://logofaves.com/2010/08/eat-innovations/
http://logofaves.com/2011/07/twyst/
http://logofaves.com/2013/03/hodie/
http://logofaves.com/2009/05/coffee/
Relevant, clever, standalone graphic:

http://logofaves.com/2010/04/poker-hills/
http://logofaves.com/2009/06/dark-bird-studios/
http://logofaves.com/2012/05/qualitalia/
http://logofaves.com/2009/10/mr-cutts/

The imagery that you could use could be to do with the process of cleaning up the graffiti (paint brush/roller, the iphone/gps coordinate aspect), could be the graffiti tools themselves (spraycan, spray mask), related to stopping (stop sign, red strike, targeting) or related to targeting individuals who are tagging. Any imagery used should be subtle or abstract. Alternatively, it could just be a cool looking graphic with the letters "S" and "T".
I've included our old logo (used on the old website), but please don't try to get any design inspiration from it as we really don't like it.
In addition to this project, we have other design contracts we will be looking to undertake in the future. If we find someone we like, then there is definite potential of ongoing work.
Updates
Thanks everyone for the designs this far. I've made a small change to the brief and have removed Database" from the logo text.

Thanks for the submissions so far everyone. There is not a clear winner at this point but there are certainly a few designs that we really like. We're getting a lot of really similar designs coming through probably due to people following some suggestions I mentioned in the brief too strictly. As such, we'd love to see a bit more creativity coming through in the designs.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: A few designers have requested more time to make some revisions as we are not 100% sold on any of the designs we have currently. That said, there are definitely some designs we would be happy to go with.
We've gone away from the cleanup aspect of graffiti and would rather see creative ideas for symbolising graffiti through colours. If it can be tied in with our product, software for storing information about graffiti tags (location, type, interpretation, etc) that's even better. It may not be possible, but we'd love to see your attempts.

Requirements
Must have
- Must work well on a light background.
Nice to have
- If you're thinking about using a separate graphic (apart from the text) we'd prefer to have the graphic to the left of the text rather than above it.
Should not have
- The logo can in no way support or endorse graffiti or tagging. No graffiti style logos, spray paint, hooded figures, etc.
