Resume Design Brief

My company is a recruitment company. The only problem is the resumes we receive are often very poor. The candidates resume is their first impression with the employer and its very important that this is eye catching and makes the applicant stand out from the crowd. So we are going to roll out a resume service to the market. Clients can submit their current resume, fill out a web form that will be used to populate the chosen resume template and we will provide them with a new, eye catching resume they can provide to employers.

This project requires the designers to provide a professional, well designed and formatted resume. The winner will be required to complete 3 additional resumes that differ in design but provide a high quality, visually fantastic snapshot into the applicants experience, qualities and credentials.


This need to be something special. It will also need to have a member of my team populate the content of each resume we provide, so it need to be on a simple platform that doesn't require Graphic Design expertise to use.

Requirements

Must have

• The information to be placed in the successful template will be provided by candidates via a web form.
• Some candidates will have more information than others and some will have entire sections that do not apply to them. So the design must be flexible enough to eliminate sections or expand sections to suit each candidate, while maintaining its professional aesthetic.
• 1. The Resume should be two pages long and A4 in size
• 2. The first page should include:
• NAME
• CONTACT- email, phone number and link to linkedin (if applicable)
• SUMMARY- this is a paragraph written by candidate explaining why they are excellent for the job; can include a career objective
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS (if applicable)- registration body, registration number, registration expiry date
• QUALIFICATIONS - qualification title, institution, year completed
• CONTINUING EDUCATION (if applicable)- a list of provider, course title and year obtained
• SKILLS- A list with a rating scale out of 5 (at least 5 and up to 10)
• REFEREES- Referee Name, Position, Relationship, Contact ph and email (a list of 3 here please )
• PERSONAL INTERESTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
• 3. The second page should include :
• EXPERIENCE
• (with the following fields ) (there should be five of these sections)
• Month/year – Month/year
• Company
• Job Title
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Achievements
• 4. Please provide information on the software used to create your design, keeping in mind it will be populated by member of my team, so it needs to be on a simple platform that doesn’t require Graphic Design expertise to use.
• The document needs to be a bit flexible as some candidates wont have registrations or qualifications. Some will have more job experience than others and more skills than others and therefore the document will require some categories being shorter, longer or omitted.
• Professional font
• This need to be something special.

Nice to have

• upon selecting the winners, we will provide a private campaign with the winner to provide 3 more at $200 per document

Should not have

• we will not include photos on these resumes so please do not submit designs with photos on them
• Non professional fonts will not acceptable, these are professional serious documents, the fonts should be appropriate for this purpose
