Logo Design Brief

The name of the Company is "Direct Beam Incorporated". We build highly efficient antennas that make a direct connection between communication points that make use of highly focus radio beams, that support extremely high data rates(wireless internet) over the air.

The reference used for, antenna gain (the measure of an antennas' ability to focus/concentrate energy (radio energy) into a beam is measured by the antennas gain, which uses the Unit dBi, (decibels relative to an isotropic), and these are the initials of our corporate name. Antennas of high gain are focused like a laser, while the reference (isotropic) is a sphere or ball, radiating equally in all directions. The earth is a sphere. Think of Global Communications, as we will offer our products to all parts of the Globe, connecting people with vital information.

I like the feeling of "Direct" as it is definitive, and the idea of the "Beam" in that it carries information, so the main message is contained in the first two words "Direct Beam" and Incorporated completes the idea and ties to the reference "dBi".

Some tag lines we could use are: "... it pays to be direct..." or "dBi the reference by which all others are measured" or "we set the standard for communications"

I have some 3D antenna patterns (shape of the energy in a 3 dimensional rendering). The colors that are chosen for the rainbow scale are, from most intense to lower intensity, red, sliding through orange to yellow, followed by green and then blue. I also like black for strong contrast. The radiated beam could be outlined in a strong color like black or blue, with a orange/red core color denoting temperature or intense heat (high energy / plasma). My thought of a logo would be a simple but strong image that somehow brings together the descriptions given above, possibly with a intense "beam" as described and possibly in the colors described, as long as the image does not get too "busy" or complex.

Don't feel confined by the use of any particular colors, just use your imagination and see if there is a simple strong image that brings the message home.

Reason: I would still like to get a copy of the final 1st place design, with a small derivation, that is to create an additional file that has the words removed from the logo, so that only the large "dBi" and the swoosh line remain on the globe which still has the lines and continents. Thanks,
