Flyer Design Brief

I'd like a flyer that can do double duty as the body of an email.
In fact, the primary method of distribution will be email.

The competition is intended to be somewhat in the spirit of the "hacker" movement, but we are trying on a very specific process for running the competition called a "Sprint Scrum" which is part of the "Agile" method of project management.

My main communication goals (top things I'd like people to know after viewing the flyer for less than 30 seconds):

This is going to be fun, current, fresh competition.
This is going to be the start of a new way of working, and they're not going to want to miss it.

Subject: FHCIC Packaging Design Innovation Competition
2016-17 Winter Theme : Enable significant delight through innovation on experience, performance, and cost.

[Introduction:] You are invited to take part in the FHCIC Winter Design Competition!

[Introduction continued:] This competition is designed to enable a wide range of contributions, with a focus on innovation in all of its’ forms, across all of the sub-functions we play.

[Introduction continued:] Product concept, Cost Savings proof of principle, Analytical technology or test method – All ideas are in scope!

Spirit:
· We’re not solely looking for the next big idea. We’re also looking for fragments of the next big idea.
· We’re looking for stepping stone insights that cascade into more learning.
· We’re looking for small experiments that inspire a common insight.
· No idea is too small, No experimental prototype is too basic.
· This competition is about DOING. Think , Prototype, Collaborate, Connect, Prototype, Think, Prototype, Collaborate.

Prize Structure
· Winning team gets 1yr bragging rights with team name on trophy + team "celebration"
· All teams who complete pre-requisites for initial sprint will be eligible to receive an advocacy consultation from the AD forum with commitment to connect the team to the most likely global sponsors.
· The team with most demonstrable physical prototype iterations will be awarded the “Star Iterators” plaque – to be placed on permanent display at FHCIC.

Key Qualifying Criteria:
· Minimum of 2 team members, Minimum of 1 from PackDev/MPD
· Eligibility: No level restrictions.
· Minimum 1 team representative present to present at key department meeting reviews.

Process
The overall process is designed around the agile model of sequential development SPRINTS which each must by definition result in a “shippable” product at conclusion. “Shippable” doesn’t mean it WILL ship, but that the team brought an appropriately chunked scope of invention to completion, in such a way that the product could be shipped if desired.

• Must get across message that the competition will use the design sprint scrum process - Not necessarily in works, but with a graphic such as I attached.
