Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a taxi company logo that is a little different then a typical taxi.

Colours: Any can be used.

Name: Deer Lake Taxi
Area + Background: Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Land Marks: Air Port, Beach, Mountains, Lake/River

Concept 1: I'd like some type of fun character that is revolved around a taxi, it obviously has to have the name, but essentially we would have a character which is the taxi. In saying that I do like how this is done.. http://99designs.ca/logo-design/store/53510 not so much a character, but I do like it. I still want it to seem professional but fun professional.

Concept 2: More professional, and I'd like to revolve around the Area + Background / Land Marks of what Deer Lake is, http://99designs.ca/logo-design/store/54090 although the font is no where near what I want to be and although it's not really polshied, I see this version being elegant but still some fun.

Audience of a small town <5,000, a large airport for a central hub.. typical people.
