Logo Design Brief

Alo is a technical open source project, a javascript library at https://github.com/alojs/alo
(There is currently a placeholder in the README).
- The idea behind the word Alo is: it comes from Latin and means to eat and feed
- The softwares goal (described artistic) is to basically eat and store all data (information) and also give it back if needed (feed), this should be for the user as easy as possible
- I would describe the symbol/character with the following words: Open-hearted, supportive, (maybe chubby?), cuddly, its serious to stay with the user and help him, but also with the proper tools to eat (see at nice to haves (teeths):

Requirements

Must have

• - I think about a logo with one very recognizable symbol (a monster, figure or so (similar in its art style as Githubs cat https://github.com/octocat)
• - Colorwise I think about 1-3 Colors are ok (if possible only one)- but the logo should be in a way, which can be used on atleast white and black background (the logo should be inverse-able).
• - characters face is positive
• - The Font for the letters (Alo) should be good readable / modern. Its up to you to integrate the logo symbol into one of the letters or place it left.
• - important is its recognizability.
• - The symbol should be child-friendly

Nice to have

• - One idea: (its a sweet bag-monster with teeths) (thats just an idea)
• - Should it be eating? Probably not / eventually: but if its eating something that process should not be bloody :)!
• - maybe the character is showing its teeths? (Many teeths? Or just large ones? Up to you :) be creative

Should not have

• - The new logo and symbol should not be too detailed
• - not frightening
• - no blood
• - should not look unhappy
• - not a grim face
• - not a uber-happy character, its not party time!
