Poster Design Brief

We need a new poster design for our next movie in development called
"FIGHT MUSIC".

Please read entire brief carefully :)

Here's what the story is about:

In the not to distant future Hip Hop and Metal Punk Rock music are living in harmony. During a performance a group of masked men shoot and kill Matthew Milton, aka “Slab” the Metal Punk Rock leader while in the arms of his lover Nia, “Bags” a Hip Hop fan and Slab’s girlfriend. The death causes a riot of violence and death that erupts between Hip Hop and Metal Punk Rock teenagers, what starts as a riot in Washington D.C. Bill Clinton Coliseum moves across The United States, forcing the U.S. Government to declare martial law against the teens who have lost control and destroyed the country. Melissa, a rebellious gothic rocker who’s life is turn upside down after the murder of her brother Slab, is saved from the riots by Colson, aka “Cold Blood”, a demure Hip Hop fan, who’s sister Bags was the girlfriend of Slab.

Senator Milton who’s distraught by his son Slab’s murder decides to run for President of the United States during the 2028 elections, running under the Teenagers Suppression movement he wins the election and enacts the Teenagers Suppression Act of 2030.

Now anyone under 20 years old is under martial law, no music, no dancing, no anything, teenagers are now held under strick and conservative laws that govern all of their movements and freedom. The violence has stopped and the country is under control. A years has passed and the music has moved underground, but in the middle of this strife between Rock and Hip Hop, Colson and Melissa love has grown, but there love must be kept a secret now that the battle between Hip Hop and Metal Punk Rockers have made it to dangerous for them to be
seen together.

This is a retelling of the Romeo and Juliet story ...Romeo is our Colson and Juliet is our Melissa. Hip Hop music, fashion, and culture is our Montague and Rock Punk Metal music, culture and fashion is our Capulet. The king of this kingdom is the U.S. Govt. President.

Major elements in the film:
- Set in the future. Martial Law is in place. Teens are not aloud to travel during the night, they have strict laws, the music, dancing, everything is now against the law, anyone under 21 with music or anything related to fashion is placed under arrest because of the event that took place.


Characters:

If your poster has the characters in it and this is not a must have they would look like the following:

- The lead character of Colson would be someone like a Chris Brown dressed up in Hip Hop attire...

- The lead character Melissa would be someone like Emma Stone as a punk rock, metal dressing character.

This will not be the actual movie poster, it's a One Sheet Poster to sell the idea and continue to move development. You can use someone face but the release must be included. Please read on what

This is a futuristic story, it's about freedom and the lack of freedom some teens are place during school. The tone and imagery need to be very high concept. This is not a cheesy TV Movie made for Lifetime or Hallmark. But it is a little out there, exploring the culture aspect and freedoms teens have or don't have...
