We need a poster to advertise for our annual symposium. The poster will be printed on 11X17" paper.
Our organization is the Political Science Graduate Students' Association. Our logo is in the uploaded files.
The title of this year's symposium is "Canada's 150th - Views from the Margins." The Symposium will take place on March 31, 2017 in TB - 96.
We are accepting papers on the topics of Canada and the world; Indigenous politics in Canada; Canadian national identity; Race, racialization and belonging; Gender and politics in Canada; Queer politics and sexualities; Class and labour politics in Canada; Environmental politics; Canadian government and politics.
There will be a lunch hour roundtable discussion on the topic of "Decolonizing the Discipline of Political Science."
Confirmed Speakers include Dr. Malinda Smith, Dr. Isabel Altamirano-Jimenez, Dr. Adam Gaudry, Dr. Fiona Nicoll
This round-table will consider questions of Race, Indigeneity, and Ethnicity in Political Science Research and efforts by the universities to "Decolonize," "Indigenize," and "Reconcile" the academy.
The roundtable will take place in TB-96 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
Lunch will be provided.
There will be a keynote panel sponsored by the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect on the topic of "Canada’s renewed vision of peacekeeping."
