Banner Ad Design Brief

I need a banner designed for my client who is an internet service provider in the United States.

The banner needs to be 960px width. The banner needs to be as light weight as possble, for fast display. The banner needs to be provided to me in Illustrator format, so that I can add/change headlines or make minor changes. I will incorporate the banner into landing pages.

There will be three, maybe four, main components to this banner....

1. At far left, a laptop, placed at a slight angle and opened so the screen is visible. On the screen will be a promotional marketing message and graphics that I will provide. I may ask you to modify slightly the existing marketing message and graphics so it fits on the laptop display.

2. In middle of banner, the outline of one of the United States "states" - covered with a wall paper of logos of the most popular internet sites. For example: google, facebook, bing, yahoo, You-Tube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Wikipedia, Craigslist, MSN, etc.

This part might be a challenge because I need you to make such a wall paper, and I need you to show/tell me how I can covert it into 50 different shapes, for the 50 US States....

I do not want to pay for 50 banners. Just want to pay for 1 wall paper that I can "shape" as needed.

3. At far right, place a picture of a satellite that I will provide.

4. Maybe - provide a background image of the night sky - deep blue/black with stars - to be used as background for the entire banner. I need to see how this looks, and how much weight it adds to the banner

Rough mock-up provided. Components of the mock-up are not to scale. I welcome the designer providing proper scaling of banner components.

home owners in rural areas of the United States seeking high speed internet service. Adults. Target customers identify themselves with their State (Texas), not with any metro area (Dallas).

Requirements

Must have

• Must show outline of State filled with collage of logo images of major internet sites. People want to use these sites and will pay for that, the don't want to pay for our service per ce.
  
  Must have a headline that begins with the State name. (see mock-up).
  
  

Nice to have

• Nice if the various U.S. State shapes have a slight 3D look. A slight appearance of depth.
  
  Nice if the overall banner used a background color, pattern or gradient to keep the banner seperate from the white background of the overall website.
  
  Banner size should be below 200kb.
