Book Cover Design Brief

I need a book cover design for my book "Evangelical Pharisees." It is a non-fiction book focused on answering the question of whether American evangelicals look more like the Pharisees than Jesus.

The subtitle is "The Striking Similarities of America's Conservative Christians and Jesus' Earthly Enemies." The author name is James Butcher.

I will be publishing this as an ebook and paperback.

I am open to all ideas, but will share the only thought I had as a possible design. In the title, the third letter in both words is "A." I thought about the idea of having the "A" in "Evangelical" have a halo and the "A" in "Pharisees" somehow seem to be a shadow of that first "A" but have devil horns instead of a halo. Again, I'm not sold on that, but am sharing it as one design possibility.

I am not interested in the book cover design having a cheesy religious look to it (as many do). I am more interested in it looking like a professional non-fiction cover.
