Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my company Neurochrome based in Calgary, Canada. www.neurochrome.com
Neurochrome delivers state of the art amplifiers and circuits, primarily for the DIY market. My value add is that I deliver the best engineered, designed, characterized, tested, and documented circuits available and back them up with world class support. I live up to my motto: "Engineering :: Done :: Right".
I'm a big fan of the Scandinavian design traditions with simple and clean lines. The logo should communicate trust, confidence, and performance. If it provokes a smile, that would be a bonus (see Twisted Pear's logo for an example - www.twistedpearaudio.com). Preferably, the logo should be reproducible by silk screening and/or line art, hence, a single colour design would be preferred. Alternatively two versions of the logo should be designed - one for web/print use and one for silk screening.
I will leave it up to the designer whether to integrate "Neurochrome", "Neurochrome :: Audio", and "Engineering :: Done :: Right". I think I'd prefer the logo to stand alone (without text) but am open to options and suggestions.
