Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a new Web project I am working on entitled Forex Vitals.

Forex is the Currency Exchange Market, and I am going to be providing very useful information to investors, including the current strength of the 8 Major World Currencies. Information that any information a fellow information would find quite vital to their trading.

Logo should definitely feel Financial, but have some fun with it too.

The first thing I imagine is Vitals like at the Hospital, like the EKG Monitor, but please feel free to do what comes to you.

Thank you to all the designers who have submitted designs, a lot of very nice options coming in, and we couldn't be happier about that.


After getting a response from one designer however, it seems that I may need to elaborate a bit on what services we will be providing. Without getting into too much detail, here is the plan...

We want to provide powerful, free data to trader through our website. The first thing going up is Currency Strength information about the 8 Major Currencies trades, as well as suggestions for the 28 Forex Pairs they create. Quite literally, our main goal is to provide a quick overlook (as well as much more detailed data), of some of the most vital pieces of data a Forex trader should be monitoring.

Forex is quite serious business, and the logo should represent that to a degree, but please also keep in mind that a group of people looking to share important information, for free, with anyone who wants to see it, is a bit far from the norm. Forex Investors can certainly relate to this, because there are thousands of people taking traders money for Forex "tools", that just don't work in the long run. We want to share our Technical and Trading expertise with anyone and everyone, because we believe people will also share valuable information with us. Even though no one did however, we'd still be learning and sharing, so it wouldn't matter. We're serious about trading, but we're more serious about understanding how we should be trading.

Our current favorite design will be posted here http://goo.gl/9ULeJG (hope it's not against any rules/toc), so you can see a bit about our personal preference. But again, please don't rely to heavily on any of our ideas or favorite designs, if you think you have something awesome, we want to see it.

A quick thought... The work we are doing has excited us. Made for almost an electric atmosphere. Maybe there are some interesting ways to incorporate electricity into a Forex design.

Also, we are attempting to get at the heart of what makes the Forex market tick, so maybe some designs incorporating one of our most valuable organs.

  • It feels like most of my time is spent looking at candlestick charts, so it would be nice to incorporate candlesticks into the design.

    Each Currency will use the same color to represent it on our site, always. These are the RGB Colors for each Currency:

    It would be awesome if you were somehow able to incorporate those colors, without drawing away from the rest of the logo. Just a thought.
