Logo Design Brief
"Waiter, I have a perfect life. But I need a spoon" (Ben Zander). Automatic watches need to be kept wound. If you are lucky enough to have more than one, it can be a pain to wind it on your wrist and wait until it is wound enough to keep time. Especially if you also need to set complicated date functions every time you do this. A watch winder takes the hassle away by keeping the watch permanently wound.
But watch winder manufacturers tend to offer the same formula - highly polished expensive wooden boxes that look a little, well old and stuffy. Wilson Wind Up is not like this. Named in honour of the biggest practical joker and most fun to be around person I have ever met, my wife Abigail, we're producing fresh, cool, discrete watch winder controlled by an IOS app and with absolutely no wood whatsoever harmed in the making of this product.
We'd love to see your suggestions for a logo that would suit our company. Can you be serious and technically excellent in a high precision craft whilst also being fun? Can you mix irreverence and excellence? Does cool coexist with simple beautiful and elegant design? We're looking forward to finding out!
