Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for a multimedia (book, video, video game) series called "Dungeons of the Dead". The genre of this series is dark fantasy (fantasy with horror elements). It includes evil vampires, undead warriors (zombies), magic, swords, dragons, and other medieval fantasy elements. In the story world, evil vampires who command an army of zombie soldiers (which grows with every living soldier it kills) are taking over kingdom after kingdom. They convert castles and fortresses into light-less dungeons where the living are imprisoned to have their blood harvested to feed the vampires. The protagonists in the series are battling the powerful vampires, and their undead minions, fighting their way into these dungeons in order to rescue the living blood-slaves from their dark prisons.
