We need a logo for a community-run hostel, cafe and exhibition space on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Our building is called Grinneabhat, after the nearby loch. Grinneabhat is a Gaelic-Norse word meaning ‘shallow loch’.
We want a logo that reflects the distinctive identity of the landscape around Grinneabhat that will be used for marketing all aspects of the building to visitors. An easily recognisible design drawn from the wonderful island environment – rocky and sandy beaches, beautiful lochs and florally rich machair and birdlife – is required. Some photos have been attached for inspiration, more photos are available on request.
