The brief was "We have a logo we have been very happy with but don't have the right file formats for, or know if it is currently sympathetic to, use in modern marketing media. Our colours are around the purple spectrum. We need the existing logo in the right formats or a refresh or rethink. You decide!"

We did not feel that any of the designs, although some very good and interesting ones, were an improvement on the existing so we opted for "We need the existing logo in the right formats" as per the brief.
