Web Design Brief

Need a clean, professional looking visual design for a web application.

STAAR is the new standardized K-12 school testing program for the state of Texas. We are building an application named STAAR-Gazer (clever, yeah?) that will allow teachers, school administrators, and others to EASILY sort through millions of records of student data and print or export reports showing just the information they need about their students.

The state currently doesn't provide a user-friendly way to do this. They provide a "data dump" spreadsheet that school administrators and teachers must figure out how to manipulate to get the data they need. We are building a Web-based tool that will make it super simple and easy for our users to get the data they need in a format that works for them.

I've created a basic wireframe of the main application screen in Axure RP Pro. I need you to "skin" the wireframe to make it look good. Your mockup will set the tone for branding and visual design throughout the site.

See the attached screenshots. There are a few variations of the screen that include dynamic panels that open & close. Start by designing just the main screen and if you have time, do one or two of the panels. Thanks!

Must have

• Your mockups should include all of the features & content shown in the attached screenshots.
  
  However, you don't have to show all 10 rows of data. You can just do the column headers and one row of data. (It would be repetitive and unnecessary to spend time re-creating the entire grid with all of that data just to show your visual styling.)
  
  The design should reflect the following concepts:
  
  - Texas
  - Education
  - Simplicity
  - Helpfulness
  - Trust
  - Professionalism
  
  If I select your design, I will want your design source files (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

Nice to have

• A logo in the upper left corner for STAAR-Gazer. The logo should definitely communicate the design concepts described under "must have."
