T-shirt Design Brief
T-SHIRT DESIGN BRIEF
We would like a bold design that ties in with our new business slogan “BULLS#!T STRONG”. The intended meaning of this slogan is unbelievably/ridiculously strong. And it also ties in with the Bull in our logos which symbolises strength.
Front of Shirt
- The text BULLS#!T STRONG must feature, and remain censored.
- We want the bulls head in logos 1 or 2 to be incorporated into the design
- 2 colours only (do not use black)
Back of Shirt
- Choice of logo 3 or 4 to feature on the back.
- Do not change the graphic. Be creative with the placement of the IRON STRENGTH and design/font.
- “Power & Performance” to be changed to “POWERLIFTING & STRONGMAN”
- Maximum of 3 colours not including black.
LEFT SLEEVE
- 3 emoji's (bull emoji, poo emoji, muscle emoji) see attachment named BULLSHIT STRONG EMOJIS.
- one colour only to match the primary colour used in the shirt design
We do not want the design to appear ‘intimidating’ or ‘hardcore’. We want it to be serious but fun, and eye-catching without being an eyesore.
This design will be printed shirts which are Black and varying shades of Dark Grey.
SOME INFO ABOUT OUR BUSINESS
Iron Strength Power & Performance (ISPP) is a high performance strength training facility – www.facebook.com/ironstrengthpp. We specialise in POWERLIFTING and STRONGMAN, and our services extend to any strength sport and strength performance activity. IMPORTANT NOTE: this facility is NOT a ‘fitness/PT studio’, ‘bodybuilding gym’ or a ‘commercial gym’. We are the first to open a facility of this sort in our region, and are pioneering the way, in a market flooded with commercial gyms.
The facility is primarily an open gym, whereby our athletes/members train according to their own schedule, following a ‘program’ written by their specific sports coaches or ISPP coaches. Clients can range from professional & amateur athletes to clients completely new to strength training.
The facility is a non-air-conditioned 250sqm shed. Equipment in the facility is mainly comprised of free weights. There are no cardio machines or mirrors. There are plenty of squat racks, bench presses, lifting platforms, weightlifting bars, bumper and cast iron plates, dumbbells and odd implements to lift, drag, pull, push and press with.
Our gym has more of a club culture. There are no egos. And we promote an unintimidating environment full of supportive members.
The owners of the facility are a male and female couple who actively compete in strongman and powerlifting. The female is a national level powerlifting competitor at 80kg. The male is a strongman competitor at 120kg.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE SPORT OF POWERLIFTING
Powerlifting, often confused with Olympic lifting, is a sport in which competitors attempt to lift as much weight as possible for one repetition in the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Competitions are generally all day events that begin with the squat, progress to the bench press, and conclude with the deadlift. Every lifter is allowed three attempts at each lift, making for a total of nine competition lifts throughout the day. The best successful attempts for each lift are added together giving the athlete a total score in kg’s lifted. Each lifter is placed into a specific division and classified by several variables including weight class & age group.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE SPORT OF STRONGMAN
Strongman is a sport that could only be described as strength athletics. Unlike powerlifting where the competitors aim only for maximal strength, strongman competitors must also have speed, agility and endurance. The principle task is to pick up random heavy objects and move them as part of an “event”. Strongman events are always varied and often unknown until the day of competition, and can comprise of 1 or more movements to make up an event. Some events include truck pulls, farmers carries, yoke carries, atlas stone loads, log presses, trailer/car deadlifts and even throwing events like a keg toss. Scoring in competition is dependent on each event and can be based on time, repetitions, or maximum weight lifted. The competitor with the highest overall score across all events is the winner.
