THE MANKEI NEKO DO YOU WANT THE CAT IS HOLDING SOMETHING IT SHOULD BE REPLACED OR MODIFIED OR YOU WANT THAT CAT JUST TO BE IN STREET STYLE

Hello thanks for inquiring, to clarify kanji would be the japanese characters or writing within the coin on the yellow cat (golden cold to clarify further) The coin is synbolic and most Maneki Neko (cats) have that coin present. I would like the cat to remain teaditional keeping the coin like how i drew but in street attire like chains rings on its fingers maybe earrings and snap back style hat. I hope this clarifies things, if needed i can provide an image of the writing or kanji i would like within the coin so let me know.

How many colors can be used for the design? Will it be screen printed or direct to garment?

We will most likely be using screen printing however we do realize the design takes alot of colors to produce in general so were currently looking into dtg as a possible option as well. There is no color maximum number but since we are thinking of screen printig try to keep the number count low to 5-7 colors.

Hi, so i am a little bit confuse, you want to keep that golden "coin" or tag, i am confused with that? But in one of the maneki images he also has a symbol on his collar, that is to keep to? Or i can just put a chain in him?

The short answer is yes, i would like to keep the traditional Maneki Neko the way it is in terms of the coin tag thats in its paw but then add a modern flair with chains earrings a snapbackstyle hat. You can let ur imagination flow on that part like maybe add rings to the paws or however you'd like to street style the cat.

Thank you everyone for your submissions so far and those to come. I just wanted to add a few things to try and guide all future designs or revisions of current ones.
1) This shirt will most likely be screenprinted so keep color counts low, around 5-7 colors.
2) We will be printing this image on the back of the shirt so please keep that in mind as well.
3) Through seeing some of the designs coming in we would like to keep just the image of the maneki-neko with no text, only on the hat of the cat.
4) We will be printing on a black shirt as well, so please keep that in mind too.

I've gotten a few questions so far about the direction of how the cat should look, we would like to follow the general concept of the maneki neko with the coin, ears, characteristics of the arm however with a modern gangster/hypebeast esq. style flair.
