Web Design Brief

We have an existing Website that we want a fresh new design for.

Our business is Microsoft Excel Consulting and we provide services to develop custom spreadsheets to improve business efficiency. We also offer a range of spreadsheets and templates for sale via our website.

Design Deliverables
- Provide a framework for the sites Home Page and each of the key Sub Sections on the site.
- The design deliverable should list the key functions on each framework page so that a developer can interpret those functions for implementation
- The design must include a mobile version for phones and tablet devices or show how the site will appear on those devices.
- We want to project a fresh and professional image with the latest design options for websites
- The existing Logo should be retained and the new design built from that.

What I expect to receive at the end of the Design Project
1) A complete set of design files that can be used by a web developer to construct our new website
2) All image files and colour schemes documented for each page
3) As part of the design the implementation of the functionality listed below is to be clearly documented throughout the site design
4) A word document that provides any key notes or instructions for the web developer to follow for the implementation

Key Functions
The website must support the following key functions and these should be shown in the design
- Contact Us visible through the site. When a visitor submits a Contact Us form it is stored to a database with a ticket number. Emails are then sent via that Ticket number and stored against that contact on the website for review by our support team. Basically a support ticket tracking system.
- To download a free template or spreadsheet the user must register to the site to receive the download. Those registrations to be kept for later use in email marketing campaigns for the site. Once registered a user can return and "Login" to the site to access more free downloads
- A Blog should be implemented to include interesting articles and information about XLAutomation and Excel. This should be a standard Blog design and allow others to comment if they choose to.
- Product Purchase, on the site we offer some products for sale. This currently goes to a 3rd party site for processing. We would like to see this integrated to the site so that the purchase is within our site and also the registration and licence verification. For the design this just needs to show how a Product Purchase would look.
- Site Search will be implemented to provide a site wide search and return results from our site first and then other google results.
- SPAM and Security is a high priority for the site. So the latest protection must be implemented to ensure that the site does not suffer any breach.
