Graphic Design Brief
We are looking for a creative approach to depict relevant/meaningful imagery in relation to our core areas of expertise and offerings.
We work with public school districts by helping them effectively and efficiently manage their resources (time, money, people) to support the best possible outcomes for students of all needs.
Currently we accompany our areas of expertise with a mix of photos, art and screenshots in an attempt to provide imagery that connects to the topic.
That said, we are increasingly reluctant to use pictures of people, especially up close/head shots as they don't convey our offering succinctly. We think it may be impossible to find an image that accurately and completely captures the complexity and impact of our work in each category.
We also don't feel that our use of artwork, similar to photographs, is as symbolic/meaningful as it could be.
Rather than a patchwork of art in some instances, photos in others, etc, we would like to explore a more consistent approach and theme that ties our offerings together. This could be a consistent design pattern, template, shape, etc. that highlights our offerings while at the same time distinguishing them from one another.
Our current website speaks to a number of the areas of expertise and offerings. You can view dmcouncil.org/services for more details on our areas of expertise.
The offerings we will bring focus to and are most interesting in applying an interesting, creative element to are;
Special Education
Strategic Planning
Resource Allocation
School Scheduling
Program Evaluation
Human Capital
++ unique opportunities through;
Conferences and Professional Development
Membership
I've attached examples of our current state (use of images with topics) and a crude idea to exhibit a thematic approach we want for topics.
We are in the process of preparing for a website redesign and therefore want a creative way to represent our strengths in a visually appealing manner. This work will be used for our website and potentially other digital and print media.
