Logo Design Brief

We are a machine shop located in Odessa Texas. We cover a wide range of oilfield machining work. We are more of a service based machine shop than manufacturing. For example, we are more likely to rebuild your transmission in your car than build a complete new one, and we will build from scratch the parts we need to rebuild it (we do not rebuild car transmission, example only, we rebuild oilfield equipment.) We work on big big iron, cut it, shave it, bend it and weld it to what we want it to be. We can also break down that 100 year old steam engine and rebuild it to run like it is new. Looking for a logo that can transcend to other markets outside the oil industry.

Target Market(s)

Oilfield of coarse, but we are also currently bidding on some government machining work to build and fabricate components for military vehicles.

Requirements

Must have

• Logo should be bold. In the machine shop business, we are more of the crossfit gym compared to the other gyms.

Nice to have

• I like the old industrial America theme which brings to thought old iron mills or a blacksmith shop (possible key images: an anvil, a hammer, gear outlines, an I-beams silhouette, etc.).

Should not have

• I do not want a logo linking us to the oilfield, such as the iconic derrick or pumpjack (such as our old logo which is attached).
