Packaging Design Brief

In order to satisfy European client and consumer demand we would like to develop packaging designs for premium reusable water bottles that we market and sell under the SWOTTLE brand. The existing water bottles are mostly marketed towards lovers of sport / recreational activities and are well suited for bikers, hikers, and even office staff :) We strive to create a fashion accessory - a high end insulated water bottle that will replace your plastic bottle of water on your desk, on your walk, on your hike, at university/school, at the gym, etc. Both the bottle and the design of the packaging will appeal to the urban, trendy, fashion oriented male and female who truly care about the environment and can take their bottle with them to work, on the weekend, etc.

Packaging Objectives:

• Generate Awareness about the SWOTTLE brand by standing out of the crowd (i.e. should differentiate itself through the packaging in a cluttered retail environment)
• Encourage Purchase of the SWOTTLE bottle
• Clearly show that this is a trendy high quality product that I want to be seen with

DELIVERABLES:

(1) Packaging:

(1a) Packaging Body: Overall packaging design that can be used for different full color bottles featuring our brand logo (see attached as .ai file)

- The packaging design should be very premium and minimalistic (think along the lines of high end fashion brands such as Gucci, Prada, Burberry, etc)
- Final data needs to be delivered as .jpg and vectorized file (.ai)
- Packaging should feature the bottle shape / outline in stylized form to show consumers what they are buying into
- Indication of bottle volume (500ml / 17 oz) on packaging
- Website URL should be featured on the packaging

- Copy to be featured on the packaging box:

“Insulated Stainless Steel Bottle” (Optional)
“By making SWOTTLE your trusted companion, you are
supporting our mission of reducing plastic waste across our
planet. On top of that, our bottles are BPA free and keep
drinks hot for up to 12 hours and cold for up to 24 hours. Stay
hydrated in style!”

(1b) Packaging Top Lid: The top lid of the packaging should indicate that the bottle keeps drinks hot for up to 12 hours and cold for up to 24 hours in a creative and witty manner
- dimension included in attached .ai file (top lid is the one with the
two holes)

(1c) Bottom of packaging: The bottom of the packaging should feature a round sticker (dimensions included in attached .ai file) including the following information
- creative exploration of the barcode either in the shape of a mountain or with the bottle shape integrated into the code (see attached bar code to use - ATTENTION in the creative exploration the barcode needs to stay intact so that it can be scanned - see http://www.demilked.com/cool-and-creative-bar-code-designs/ for some ideas
- “Designed with love and care in Switzerland. Produced responsibly in China.”.”
- Placeholder for Color Code of the bottle underneath the EAN Code
