Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new stand up paddling board brand - Melody. We are a startup, a backyard brand. We design and build SUP boards for wave surfing and cruising. The logo may or may not include the word "melody". In case the designer desides not to include the word "melody" in the logo, a nice and suitable font for "melody" should be created, as the word "melody" will also be printed on the boards. Retro/hipster influences are desired. The logo will be printed on boards, and clothing. Thank you.
