Logo Design Brief

I am in need of a logo design for a new adventure company in middle Tennessee. The primary focus of this entity will be to provide public recreational tours on the Caney Fork River and surrounding waterways via canoe or kayak. The Caney Fork is a calm tail water below Center Hill Lake dam (just denoting there is no white water). I am not familiar with advertising genres so it is difficult to tell you what style I am looking for. In general, I would lean toward colorful and more modern. The logo should serve equally as well for website, signage, and t-shirts. As a side note, I chose this particular name because it has a ring to it and it could be added to ie Caney Canoe and Kayak Too. I am not an American history buff but remember learning about Tippecanoe and Tyler Too (circa 1840). That name has stuck in my mind for 30+ years. Feel free to include a rendition with 'and Kayak Too'. There are two competing groups existing in the area at present. The first brand is pretty good but a little over the top and quite a bit Pirates of the Caribbean. The second brand does not appeal to me at all. I would hope to come up with something much better than either.
I have include 4 logos that in some way appealed to me. Two are more modern and two not so modern. I am not in to the not so modern but thought the general idea of these logos could be played upon.

Nice to have

• As mentioned above, I would like to see a strong core logo with the ability to add 'and Kayak too' without diluting presence. If I like the combo well enough, I may just use it solely.

• Should not have too much emphasis on paddles.
