Book Cover Design Brief

We are a publisher based in Singapore. We need a book cover design for an educational assessment book titled "Primary 6 English Section Drill Volume A". The book is targeted at primary school students (10 - 12 years old), hence the design should be interesting and visually attractive to this age range. This book is the first in a series. Subsequent books will have the same design but of different theme colours. Designers need to take note that the design must allow for different theme colours to be used.

The subsequent books are titled:
1. Primary 5 English Section Drill Volume A
2. Primary 4 English Section Drill Volume A

The dimensions of the book are:
Front and Back Cover: 26 cm X 19 cm
Spine: for about 160 pages

Requirements

Must have

• 1. Must have a theme colour, so we can allocate different colours to subsequent books in the same series.
• 2. The graphics for the front cover, spine and back cover must flow and be continuous - please refer to Picture 1.
• 3. Please include the book highlights:
• (a) Primary 6 English Section Drill Volume A
• (b) Based on latest MOE syllabus
• (b) Grammar (40 sets)
• (c) Vocabulary (40 sets)
• (d) Vocabulary Cloze (40 sets)
• 4. A space on the top right corner for our company logo (please see attached logo)
• 5. Please emphasize on the number 6 (for Primary 6) by having a huge font for this number.
