Logo Design Brief

We need a logo that evokes warmth (Caribbean feel) and confidence and is sexy, sleek (clean) and simple.
The Garifuna colors are: Black, White, Yellow, and if possible can be incorporated into the design but is not a requirement.
We are a lifestyle company with a heavy emphasis on the Garifuna culture.

Background info:
The logo text translates in English to: I am Garifuna.
Tag line translates to: we return to our roots
Garifuna culture is closely identified with music and dance. Garifuna music styles are known for their heavy use of percussion instruments and distinctive drumming, which combines the beats of primero (tenor) and segunda (bass) drums.
Garifuna food and drink make use of a combination of native Central American crops and African staples, including fish, chicken, cassava, bananas and plantains.

Must have

• Logo Text. Not case sensitive.
• Logo files must be AI and/or EPS, be easily scalable and can work in multiple mediums.
• Logo style must be smart, clean and timeless. Must be business professional but avoid staid or stolid designs.
• Logo should represent a young, smart & dynamic company
• Logo & typeface to project style, value and simplicity

Nice to have

• Incorporate sketch of Garifuna drums (image attached). This is not necessary but it would be nice to see, if possible.
• Logo can contain up to 3 colors (black, white, yellow) but a single color version must also be provided
