Logo Design Brief

We are in need of a logo for our source-to-source compiler tool used in porting games for consoles called "BRUTE". The tool converts C# code to C++ code allowing games to be run on consoles like PS Vita and Xbox One.

Our current ideas/inspiration/concepts for the logo which might help get a feel for direction:

- Applying brute force to a problem.

- Technically focused for programmers.

Our requirements for the logo:

- Looking for a symbolic/iconic logo style that is simple and highly distinctive.
- If the logo does not work in plain black-and-white then it is too busy for our tastes.
- Should be easily recognizable among other game and software logos.
- Avoid easily dated game and technology shapes like joysticks, gamepads, tablets, laptops, etc.
- The logo shape should work stand alone without text for application icons and thumbnails.
- Works in full color, two color, and monochrome.
- We prefer BRUTE in all caps, but could accept Brute in the right font and style.
- We want good typography that is bold, modern and clearly readable.

We've not picked any official colors and are open to ideas here.

The logo would be used on websites, tshirts, print materials, etc.
