Label Design Brief

We need a front wine label designed for Sandro, our small, family-owned, Oregon based winery . Sandro makes warm climate red blends with grapes sourced from SE Washington state, USA. We are a startup business with wines for 2013 and 2014.

The name Sandro comes from the Georgian language, and is short for Alexander, my father's name. The Georgians have an 5000-8000 year history of winemaking, out of which they give heartfelt toasts that celebrate kinship, family, and loved ones of the past and future.

The design can be of various aspect ratios, but should fit flatly on a bordeaux style wine bottle.
We would like this wine label to work for red wines, and be convertible to work with white wines with some simple background color changes. The preferred file format is Adobe Illustrator. This label will be digitally printed.

• The brand name- Sandro

• Wine name- Trillium Blend
• AVA: Washington State
• (The specific information will vary, but we need room for those categories of text.)

Nice to have

• We'd like to convey the qualities of sincerity, trustworthiness, and being grounded. If it's possible to convey our philosophy of sharing wine with friends and family that would be great.
• We have an existing logo "Sandro" that has been attached as an SVG file.
• It is not required to include this logo, but if it works in your design, all the better.

Should not have

• Feature photographs or likenesses of photographs
