Packaging Design Brief

**ECO Design is not working we need to change it**

We need retail packaging designed for mobile phone accessories. This includes; mobile phone screen protectors, mobile phone cases and mobile phone cables.

We want the packaging to be simplistic, vibrant modern and minimalist.

The packaging for each product should create a clear brand across the products i.e if a customer comes into a shop and picks up a mobile phone case they know from looking at the box's which mobile phone screen protector or mobile phone cable is ours.

We are a new company that does not provide cheap "ebay" accessories. We provide luxury accessories at a premium price.

We need a package designed for each of the following:

1) Mobile Phone Screen Protectors - The packaging needs to be standard hang cell size (for the mobile phone industry). The dimensions of the packaging should be: 18cm (H) X 10.5cm (W) and include a hanging hook. The thickness should be similar to the thickness of an envelope. This does not need a window for viewing the product as its a simple screen protector (which is essentially a clear sheet of contact).

Features: 9H (hardness), Completely flexible, they are not actually glass (made up of a nano technology, call it Nano Glass, Hydrophobic (keeps fingerprints off), 99% transparent, does not smash like glass.

2) Mobile Phone Cases - The packaging needs to be standard hang cell size (for the mobile phone industry). The dimensions of the packaging should be: 18cm (H) X 10.5cm (W) X 2cm (D) and include a hanging hook. The product should have a viewing window so the entire contents can be see. The product should be easily and readily removed without causing damage to the contents or the packaging.

Features: Whilst we will be selling several types of cases start with a design for leather cases, 100% genuine lather (first layer cow hide), TPU insert instead of hard plastic for more protection, 3 card slots,

3) Mobile Phone Cables (USB etc) - The packaging needs to be standard hang cell size (for the mobile phone industry). The dimensions of the packaging should be: 18cm (H) X 5cm (W) X 2cm (D) and include a hanging hook. The product should have a viewing window so the entire contents can be see.

Features: Braided (for strength), reversible (doesn't matter which way you plug it in), 2m in length.

The packaging for the cases needs to be accessible so customers can open it and view the case. Finally we need a window on the packaging so the product can be viewed (cable and cases)

Target Market(s)

The target market is very broad. Everyone from teenagers to the middle age purchase mobile phone accessories.

At our core is 14 --> 45 males and females.

These accessories are primarily sold in Telstra (and alike) shops in rural area's of Australia.
