Menu Design Brief
The "Hotel Spencer Bar and Grill" will be launched in the next few months. It consists of the ground floor of the Hotel Spencer, an iconic building built in the 1915-1920's in West Melbourne. Prior to the building changing hands in late 2012, the venue traded as a bistro pub. While not seeking to alienate the original customers, the HS Bar and Grill seeks to capitalise on the original strengths of the former pub however, re-launch the business in Oct 2013 as an avant-garde and edgy hospitality establishment that would attract clientele from nearby businesses and local residents for drinks, lunch and dinner. The property has got an distinct upscale restaurant room and a separate front bar that aims to be more casual with a separate bar menu. Apart from the businesses and residents, the area also benefits from sports spectators that frequently park in the area to attend live games at Melbourne's Etihad stadium on week ends.
The task is to design a logo and menu design that would be supportive if the HS rich history yet contemporary - seamlessly matching the progressive intentions of the establishment
