Illustration Design Brief
I need a MAP of Maldives. The map will show the 4 distinct regions: North, Center, South, Far South in a different color. (see the photo example attached here. I put numbers on the atolls to show you on which region they are)
The map will be displayed on a page like this one: https://www.dailydive.com/top-dive-destinations/indonesia
The map will have to show 1 highlighted region according on what page it appears. For example on the web page "Scuba diving in North Maldives", the map has to show the Maldives with the North region highlighted.
So I need 5 versions of the map, one for each region highlighted and one with no region highlighted.
I really looking for a something looking nice. I was thinking about orange for highlight, maybe shadow on the atolls or light 3D style. An horizontal arrow to point on the selected region. The map has to be vertical (north on top). It will be displayed on right side of the text. You are free for the design, it should fit the actual website design www.dailydive.com. I would prefer with transparent background (no water) so that it's not too eavy on the map.
In short: something elegent. Look at the japan map attached here as example, this can give you direction. But I would like with less 3D effect. Play with gradient grey for not highlighted and orange for highlighted.
