Flyer Design Brief

I am looking for a design for poster to be used to market a local cultural Festival.

The festival is the 2016 Ottawa Palestinian Festival.

The Poster from the past two year has been as such:

The above two poster capture the information i would like in the new posters, but for this year i would like something more modern, hip and young, with more artistic merit to it.

The basic information that the poster must contain is as such:

Title: The Ottawa Palestinian Festival
Date: August 26-28th 2016
Location and Website: Same as previous years
Tag line: Explore Palestine in Ottawa

The design i am thinking of is an inspiration of other posters iv seen, specifically these ones:

The idea, is to use an iteration of one of these images as the core of the design:

But instead of the birds in those pictures, i would like them replaces with palestinian cultural artifacts. just like the turkish festival poster incorporates elements of the cultures its design. these cultural elements can include the following link.

Musical Instruments:
-The Oud
-Middle easter Drum
-Al Mijwez

Dancing
-Dabke Dancer (sometime called Dabka)

Palestinian Food:
-Green Olives
-palestinian kunafa
-Baklawa

Also Canadian references and specifically Ottawa.

I don't have the original full res version of any of the above pictures. But our official logo that we would like incorporated is this one:
