Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for an online basketball training academy called "Point Guard Academy Volume 2". The program isn't just basketball work, the participants do leadership work, goal setting, productivity, etc. throughout the program...so it's really Basketball+Mindset+Leadership...a real "Academy" type situation.

The following links are logos that I find appealing with the top one being that which is the most appealing; I do REALLY like the color scheme and feel of 1A but with the structure of 1.
