Logo Design Brief

We need a logo/design for our academic research lab based at the University Hong Kong.
http://web.hku.hk/~bthib/
We are specialized in tackling environmental issues as pollution, global change, etc.

Logo will be displayed on our website, poster, email signature and maybe some promotional articles like mugs, hat, teeshirt.

We havent found an acronym, but open for creative people to think about one, or a catchy name (not starting by GEO, already ton of labs named like that).

Color (in order of importance/preference): blue, white, green, red

Shape: round is our preference, but we are open

Style: We are open but thinking about the line of; modern/ecology, classic/scholar, modern/chinese/nature/ecology

Attached: logo of GEOMAR and AORI, two logo of ocean-oriented research institute we like very much and the HKU logo, to give idea of some traditional Chinese elements that could be incorporated.
